What's this all about?

I guess I should start by introducing myself. My name is Joseph and I'm a 24 year old Software Engineer from Washington state, a place with gray winters filled with skiing and exquisite summers filled with hiking. I am starting this blog to write about my experiences both abroad and at home so bear with me when I share my crazy project ideas that may or may not ever come to fruition. 

Currently traveling in South America to learn Spanish, observe natural beauty, and refresh my appreciation for cultures other than my own.
